This one was true back in the old day when Mac users had to press the “option”
key in conjunction with a click to produce a right click and bring up the contextual pop up menu. 

However, the latest Apple muse called a “Mighty “Mouse” may look like a one button mouse but it has sensitivity on both sides to detect when a user wants to make a right of left click.

Web Browsers are Not Created Equal

Web browsers work by reading a set of instructions to reassemble the text, images, other content that make up a web page. There has been significant convergence in the languages, rules, standards, and conventions used to give and read those instructions, but each browser's rendering engine handles it differently.  That together with the features, user interfaces,  and appearance software makers attach to their particular browser gives rise to a surprising degree of variability in user experience.

This variance can translate to a pleasurable and productive web surfing experience or not; the degree of variability increases with age of the browser. 

Fortunately, there is no cause for concern and no reason to suffer under less than ideal conditions. It is fast, easy, and free to get the best there is.

There are two types of email servers  POP (Post Office Protocol) and IMAP (Internet Message Access Protocol). 

How POP Email Servers Work: One and Done

Let's say you have your email on your office computer delivered through Outlook.  When a POP email service-be it Hotmail, Yahoo, Gmail or some hosting company like GoDaddy, sends your mail to Outlook the server either deletes the sent messages or retains a copy in the account. 

 

Either way, once the mail is sent all connection with that server regarding those messages is over.   If you are away from your computer and check the email directly on the Web based service,  the office Outlook account will look like nothing happened.

An email client is a program installed on your computer that checks your email for you, the most famous client is Microsoft Outlook. 

Outlook is a full featured program and comes as part of the MS Office suite of productivity software.  However, all computers come out of the box with a free email client.  Windows used to call their free version Outlook Express and with Vista has changed the name to just "Mail."    Mac's application is also called "Mail."
